TGC REFLECTIONS:
Discipline Specific Knowledge
In the Bamboo project have practiced theories that I have learnt from my lecture and external research that helped me understand the material better . It was important to understand all the theories before practicing and coming up with strategies while making the main stucture where we all implemented our accumulated knowldge gained.
Lifelong learning
Besides study during class, it is important to study some out source article for extra knowledge. I strongly believe it benefitted me with all those extra knowledge especially during project 3. Amongst many other categories of information, The precedent studies and construction analysis not only helped build my structure for project 3 but also sparked my curiosity and enthusiasm to learn more of the intricacies of wonderful structures of the world.
Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills
Every problem will have a solution. However, critical thinking is much effective compare with emotional thinking. During Bamboo Project When we all were facing challenges regarding the joinery and structural integrity of the bamboo pieces. we all worked as a team to discuss every method and tried out every possible solution to our problem until the very effective one worked.
Communication Skills
Studio 1 helped me become more expressive and step out of my comfort zone in order to adjust and adapt to the new environment that i was in as a foreign student. alongside being able to convey my thoughts to other I also learned to interpret my creativity and integrate my knowledge in order to manifest a tangible representation of all those ideas formulating a particular design sketch or model.
Interpersonal Skills
During the Bamboo project, I understood the significance of team work. I have thoroughly understood through first hand experience of working together day and night the significance of having a shared objective and displaying a similar drive of good work ethics are required to accomplish the best possible outcome
Citizenship and Global Perspectives
The most important skill I've learned so far was working together with various layers of opinions from various sectors. For me, The ability to take critic was the most fundamental yet significant skill as this shaped me to become a better designer as a whole.
Intrapersonal Skills
During the individual Projects I've developed an idea of the significance of a good work ethic. I've come to understand that alongside good academic knowledge via efficient self study there has to be good time management and organizational skills as well in order to produce the most remarkable output.
Digital Literacy
I would not necessarily say I have progressed much in terms of digital literacy this semester, however I would definitely say that creating this digital journal of my works is definitely the first step. I hope to work on and enhance these skills even more so that in future I will be able to create the best display of my works
